CROSSFIT COACH / PERSONAL TRAINER
What is your fitness background?
I played sports my whole life. Was involved with soccer, basketball and baseball since I can remember up to my senior year in high school. I worked out in that time frame with more of a strength training regimen. I enjoyed lifting weights and pushing myself. I began researching and doing more HIIT in 2015 where I eventually found CrossFit. I joined a CrossFit gym shortly after and haven’t looked back.
What is your favorite WOD?
I don’t have a favorite WOD or least favorite WOD. I feel like every WOD should be a challenge and its an opportunity for you to get better. Working on weaknesses is very important. You’d be surprised how fast you can improve if you approach every movement with your full attention and effort.
What is your least favorite WOD?
What is your favorite lift?
Big fan of cleans.
What is your least favorite movement?
Working on Overhead mobility and in the bottom of the hole.
How long ago did you get into CrossFit?
4 years ago – 2015
What were your thoughts after your first CrossFit workout?
I was addicted. Loved the community/atmosphere. The competitive environment is where I strive.
What advice do you have to any newcomers to CrossFit?
There are a lot of movements in the sport of CrossFit, be patient learning them. Don’t get upset if you don’t get it right away. Don’t get overwhelmed in class, have fun and ask questions.
